Cabin Management Solutions Selects FlightPath3D 4K Map

FlightPath3D, the global leader in moving map innovation and technology, and Cabin Management Solutions (CMS) have teamed up to launch FlightPath3D’s 4K moving map solution for the CMS Explore product line. This next-generation technology is available as a plug-and-play replacement solution and provides a hands-free automatic broadcast view on bulkhead monitors, as well as an interactive experience on personal entertainment devices.

The Explore solution offers options for every aircraft type and budget: Explore, Explore HD, and Explore 4K. The customizable, 3D map supports Composite, HD-SDI (1080P), and HDMI out (4K60), and ensures the highest-quality moving map experience for both principals and passengers alike. In addition, the software’s ease of use and set up for MROs has a much quicker turnaround than previous map products.

“It’s a slam-dunk replacement for Airshow 400, Genesys, 500 and 4000 models with options for flange or tray mount providing a drop-in, pin-for-pin replacement,'' says CMS Vice President of Sales Dave Fauerhak. “We designed this system from the ground up with the installer and MROs in mind.”

With Explore, aircraft owners and passengers can:

  • Follow flight progress and see what’s below them

  • View the scheduled arrival time and time to destination

  • Interact and explore the aircraft and moving map via Wi-Fi, or take control of the cabin display, all from your personal device

  • Change selectable features including languages, flight information parameters, and units of measure

  • Customize features such as aircraft model, livery, and owner points of interest

“There is a gap between the current on-board moving map experience versus what is expected by business aviation passengers with today’s beautifully curated content,” says Derek Donahue, General Manager, Business Aviation, FlightPath3D. “Our FlightPath3D map is here to bridge this gap with something that is immersive, personal, and responsive.”
