FlightPath 3D Brings Sunset View to Commercial Cabins
FlightPath 3D, a developer of immersive in-flight maps, has announced that a feature called Sunset View is available for commercial airline customers. Originally, the feature was designed for VVIP aircraft.
Sunset View offers an experience for passengers to see where the sun is setting on Earth, reorienting the map to portray a horizon bathed in sunset, and deepen the passenger’s connection with the world below.
“With the cinematic-style immersion of Sunset View, we are once again expanding the luxury in-flight experience from Gulfstreams to gates,” said FlightPath3D President Duncan Jackson. “We believe the in-flight map should be part of the journey – breathtaking and cinematic, elevating every moment in the air. We built these views for the most discerning of flyers and we’re proud to now offer the ultimate experience to millions more.”
FlightPath 3D has a range of features that are reserved for business and private aircraft travel, such as Flying Over Places, a database of 100,000 points of interests on the ground, such as historic sites and natural landmarks. There is also Aircraft 360, a 3D rendering of the aircraft’s exterior with details such as the livery and specific configurations.
