Now Landing At PHL.org: “WhereWeFly”

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA. (January 31, 2023) – Who doesn’t daydream about taking a vacation during the cold, dreary days of winter? Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) fliers can be one step closer to making their travel dreams reality by logging onto PHL.org and checking out the “WhereWeFly” tool now available on the airport’s homepage. PHL is one of only five airports in the country (George Bush Intercontinental and William P. Hobby in Houston; Albany International Airport; and Albuquerque International Sunport) to partner with WhereWeFly to offer the online tool which features interactive route maps, video reels that allow passengers to explore destinations, and the capability to find and book nonstop flights offered by PHL’s airline partners.

“We are excited to offer WhereWeFly to our passengers,” said PHL Director of Marketing and Branding Megan O’Connell. “We are often asked from our website visitors where airlines fly nonstop from PHL. While we can point guests to a spider map with names of destinations, the map is not searchable, and guests need to leave the PHL website to learn about potential destinations and then book travel. WhereWeFly puts all aspects of travel planning in one place, which will be a benefit for the airport and our airline partners.”

The WhereWeFly widget is located in the center of the PHL.org homepage. Visitors can search possible flights based on destination, airline and activity (anyone up for relaxing on a beach?). WhereWeFly will:

  • Showcase routes and destinations in a 3D map with a searchable directory

  • Personalize search results based on preferences and interests

  • Allow users to view flight times and airline details with links to book flights

  • Offer the option to explore destinations with immersive video guides that each traveler can personalize

"WhereWeFly revolutionizes destination promotion with its interactive platform, taking you on a visual journey through routes, flights, and must-see destinations via engaging, short-form videos,” said WhereWeFly President Duncan Jackson. “We’re honored to work with PHL as an early adopter changing the way they promote their routes, destinations and airline partners.”

WhereWeFly provides access to schedules and the ability to book travel with all of PHL’s airline partners. Information is updated as carriers’ schedules are updated.
