FlightPath3D Cloud Reaches 500 Aircraft as Connected Cabin Adoption Accelerates

Deployment across 500 aircraft sees FlightPath3D Cloud flying high, leveraging high-speed internet and scalable, off-aircraft infrastructure to entertain and inform more passengers in more places.

May 27, 2026 - Irvine, CA — FlightPath3D, the world leader in interactive map and destination discovery solutions for the airline sector, is pleased to announce that its Cloud platform reached the 500 aircraft flying milestone, with 2,000 aircraft committed, reflecting a rapid adoption by leading global airlines.

Since its launch a year ago, FlightPath3D Cloud has seen significant success. The offering is flying today with leading airlines including United Airlines and WestJet. FlightPath3D Cloud has secured deployment commitments spanning more than 2,000 aircraft. Ongoing conversations with more than a dozen additional airlines, business aviation OEMs, and dealer partners demonstrate continued momentum for flexible, cloud-native deployment architectures.

High speed, low latency inflight internet now allows airlines to reliably deliver content to passengers, while reducing the need for onboard hardware. The Cloud system also supports the map interface on passengers’ own devices, making it easier and less expensive for airlines to deliver personalized experiences and real-time content updates, while reducing maintenance requirements. Cloud enables airlines to take full advantage of this transition, while bringing the extended suite of FlightPath3D content – including map overlays, points of interest, and advertising opportunities – to more travelers in more places.

“Passengers already depend on FlightPath3D for information, entertainment, and destination discovery onboard,” said Duncan Jackson, President of FlightPath3D. “FlightPath3D Cloud extends that experience beyond the seatback, enabling airlines to deliver connected, real-time passenger experiences across aircraft, mobile devices, and digital platforms.”

FlightPath3D Cloud does more than deliver the map experience across inflight internet connections. Cloud allows airlines to better connect with passengers throughout the travel ribbon by extending the inflight map experience beyond the aircraft. It blends relevant, real-time data from the airline, aircraft, and even third-party advertisers into a user-friendly experience customers love.

Airline operational details, like arrival gate and baggage claim assignment, update in real-time, flowing into the map display. Moving in the other direction, airlines can integrate components of the inflight map experience in their app or inflight portal, delivering a richer experience without requiring passengers to switch between interfaces.

FlightPath3D Cloud offers a fully customizable marketing platform for airlines. Loyalty program details can be fed into the experience and blended with promotions from destination-related advertisers. Route-specific data combined with advertising contracts, managed either by the airline or FlightPath3D. Contextual cues fed from both sides enable airlines to promote relevant offers to travelers from check-in through their entire trip. FlightPath3D data can also be used on the ground, powering airport departure boards and other key locations.

The no-hardware approach also makes FlightPath3D Cloud a compelling option for private jet owners and operators to bring destination information into the cabin when they upgrade their inflight internet service with a high-speed inflight connectivity system. The company has started in-service evaluation (ISE) programs to deploy cloud on business jets in collaboration with approved OEM and Dealer partners.

“Building a real-time passenger platform for global aviation requires far more than simply streaming a map to an aircraft,” said Boris Veksler, CEO of FlightPath3D. “FlightPath3D Cloud was architected around a globally distributed infrastructure capable of supporting highly customized airline deployments across mixed fleets, each with unique branding, languages, geopolitical requirements, and passenger experiences. The platform must also transform discrete and often intermittent aviation telemetry into a smooth, real-time visual experience, requiring sophisticated interpolation, predictive processing, caching, and rendering technologies to operate reliably across global routes and connected fleets.”

Delivering a consistent experience across the in-seat screens of a complex fleet is no easy task, but it’s an area where FlightPath3D excels. Whether deployed as a cloud-only or hybrid offering that includes an on-board server, FlightPath3D helps ensure a smooth, exciting and harmonized brand experience across every digital touchpoint.
