FlightPath3D Innovation Honored with Onboard Hospitality and PAX Readership Awards

Personalization and extensive content customization options for leading inflight map experience impress industry experts and customers

[Irvine, California, April 21, 2026] — FlightPath3D, the global leader in aviation moving maps, celebrated three major award wins last week while exhibiting at the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) and World Travel Catering Expo (WTCE) in Hamburg, Germany.

First, at the Onboard Hospitality Awards (presented on April 14th at the WTCE Taste of Travel Theatre stage) and then later at the PAX Readership Awards on April 15th, the company’s innovation around destination content and marketing, seamlessly integrated into the industry’s top inflight map experience, resonated with judges.

“Innovation beyond the core moving map is key as we progress on our mission to serve a billion travelers,” said President Duncan Jackson of the wins. “We are layering in intelligent capabilities, backed by broad data resources and AI-driven analysis, to boost how airlines and operators engage passengers throughout the journey. In these prestigious awards, the value that our innovation delivers to passengers, airlines, and partners is truly reflected.”

PAX International Readership Awards: Best IFE and Connectivity

FlightPath3D President Duncan Jackson (L) and CEO Boris Veksler (R) are joined by Aijaz Khan, Publisher of PAX International and PAX Tech and Saudia's Sonali Pauline Amarasingham to celebrate the Best IFE & Connectivity award for 2026

Saudia’s inflight digital experience, powered by FlightPath3D, took home top prize for “Best IFE and Connectivity – Middle East” at the 2026 PAX International Readership Awards, announced Wednesday evening. The award recognizes the integration of cultural and historical heritage of Saudi Arabia through the inflight map experience.

FlightPath3D developed custom destination content and bespoke pins highlighting significant cultural landmarks and historical sites, enabling a tailored layer of storytelling for passengers. Saudis and international travelers alike can explore the richness of the Kingdom in an accessible and inspiring way.

The integrated suite also includes immersive Destination Guides featuring expert-curated details on points of interest. These can be saved into a custom itinerary and seamlessly linked to a passenger’s personal device, even after they leave the aircraft, to deepen airline engagement.

Onboard Hospitality Awards: Best Onboard Entertainment

FlightPath3D was also recognized for Best Onboard Entertainment by Onboard Hospitality magazine for the Destination Stories offering. Destination Stories transforms the seatback map into a story-led travel platform, bringing destinations to life with animated previews, airline branding, AI-powered recommendations, and seamless mobile continuity.

Guided by Luci, FlightPath3D’s AI-powered travel companion, Destination Stories seamlessly transports passengers between the now of inflight and the future of the destination experience. It creates a more personal journey for travelers and helps drive engagement, thanks to local tips, highlights, airline branded content, and destination partnerships, all within the inflight map.

The company’s CloudMap and integrated Destination Reels functionality was awarded the Best Inflight App prize from Onboard Hospitality magazine. CloudMap shifts the deployment process for the inflight map, delivering a premium user experience without any hardware installed on the aircraft. It eases the deployment process for airlines and helps speed design update iterations.

Destination Reels extends the FlightPath3D map experience, bringing curated details about top destination sights to life. That experience is blended with the current trip, narrated by Luci, FlightPath3D’s AI-powered travel companion. Passengers gain access to multiple trip views via their personal device and can also create a custom itinerary by saving a collection of Reels then exporting the list to guide their experience after the flight ends. This helps extend the airline branding and passenger loyalty beyond the flight.

CloudMap is now delivering the FlightPath3D experience on more than 500 aircraft with a backlog set to bring it over 2,000. Destination Reels is flying on more than 1,500 planes.

A year of recognition

These awards continue a strong year of industry recognition for FlightPath3D. In September 2025 the company took home the 2026 APEX Best Inflight Entertainment Award for Kids Map, just a month after being named to the 2025 Inc. 5000 List.
