Multi-year deal ensures continued innovation, with moving map and destination intelligence at the center of the Cessna Citation digital cabin experience
[Irvine, California, October 20, 2026] — FlightPath3D, the global leader in moving map technology, today announced a contract extension with business aircraft manufacturer Textron Aviation. The multi-year agreement continues the cooperation between the companies that started nearly a decade ago.
FlightPath3D’s award-winning 3D Moving Map is seamlessly integrated as a factory-configured option on the Cessna Citation Ascend, Latitude and Longitude business jets. The solution can also be added as an aftermarket alternative for aircraft owners. It is currently flying on more than 325 Cessna Citation aircraft globally.
“We’re proud to have FlightPath3D deliver the most powerful and most flexible map platform to aircraft owners from day one of service,” said Howie Lewis, vice president of business aviation sales for FlightPath3D. “Business jet travel demands a seamless experience throughout the journey.”
Delivering Innovation to the Cabin
FlightPath3D’s business aviation moving map experience provides an engaging way for passengers to follow their flight and explore their journey throughout the trip. Engineered specifically for the modern cabin, the map can be effortlessly accessed via smartphones and tablets, as well as on bulkhead monitors.
Key features include augmented reality views like a unique, cinematic sunset view, aircraft 360 with custom livery for every new owner and a cockpit view with heads-up display. Passengers stay informed with real-time flight information as well as a world clock. The solution is fully integrated into the cabin management hardware, ensuring a responsive and immersive experience without touching the traveler's or operator's data plan.
Cessna Citation aircraft owners can choose from multiple FlightPath3D configuration options to ensure the inflight experience matches their needs. Recently launched, BizAv Studio allows for on-wing customization of themes, flight information, place names and more.
The extended relationship reflects FlightPath3D’s continued growth in business aviation and its commitment to creating inflight experiences that evolve alongside aircraft platforms and changing passenger expectations.
