FlightPath3D Launches BizAvStudio, Putting Inflight Map Control Directly in the Hands of Operators

New configuration suite enables aircraft manufacturers, completion centres, and flight departments to control branding, map styling, flight data displays, and geopolitical settings across the full aircraft lifecycle

FlightPath3D, the aviation industry’s leading inflight moving map provider, is changing the way private jet owners experience the inflight map with the launch of BizAvStudio. The BizAvStudio configuration suite unlocks access to map configuration details for aircraft manufacturers, completion centres, owners, and flight departments, delivering direct control over how the FlightPath3D inflight map appears and behaves onboard private and business aircraft.

The inflight moving map is one of the most visible digital interfaces in the business aviation cabin, yet until now, operators have faced significant hurdles in controlling how it looks or behaves once the aircraft leaves the completion center. BizAvStudio changes that experience wholesale. It enables operators to modify branding, welcome screens, passenger information displays, map styling, and geopolitical settings without requiring software updates, engineering support, or vendor intervention. Changes can be applied in minutes, including while the aircraft is in service.

The suite comprises two tools spanning the full aircraft lifecycle. BizAvStudio Hub is a web-based portal used by OEMs, completion centres, and installers to configure the map before delivery. BizAvStudio OnWing is used post-delivery by crew, flight departments, or owner representatives to update the map at any point during the aircraft’s operational life, on the ground or in flight. No other product on the market covers both stages within a single configuration suite.

“BizAvStudio is not a feature; it is a new operational model,” explained Duncan Jackson, President of FlightPath3D. “Configuration is no longer something that happens once at delivery. It’s something operators own for the life of the aircraft.”

FlightPath3D’s map platform flies today on more than 1,500 private aircraft worldwide. Textron Aviation flies the FlightPath3D map on new Citation deliveries and other models. Gogo embeds the map into its Gogo Vision platform as a premium experience on passenger devices. Presidential and heads-of-state programs with Astronics, CMS, and DPI also use the FlightPath3D platform, and BizAvStudio now extends full configuration control to all of these deployments. OEMs and completion centers have responded enthusiastically, with BizAvStudio allowing them to deliver an aircraft with a fully configured, branded map experience on day one.

"Owners and operators already control every element of the private jet cabin experience, from interior design to catering to connectivity,” added Howie Lewis, VP Business Aviation for FlightPath3D. “The inflight map was the last piece they couldn't touch. That's no longer the case."

BizAvStudio is available now for new and in-service aircraft, with configuration support for operators worldwide.
