San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport Launches New Travel Planning Tool WhereWeFly

September 30, 2024: San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport has launched WhereWeFly, a 3D route map and destination guide that streamlines how passengers can search and discover OAK’s 48 destinations. The new tool is available on the airport’s website, iflyoak.com.

"As OAK continues to prioritize traveler experiences, we’re thrilled to introduce WhereWeFly on our website,” said Craig Simon, Director of Aviation at the Port of Oakland. “This innovative tool is a gamechanger for our valued passengers by empowering them with comprehensive destination information and helping to effortlessly plan their journeys to and from our airport.”

Built by FlightPath3D, the mobile-friendly tool is embedded directly into OAK’s website, putting their global network at the fingertips of users visiting the page. To facilitate travel planning, the tool has interactive features like a 3D globe that visualizes each route with pan and zoom capabilities, search filters that personalize the flight search and social media style video guides to explore cities OAK serves.

Users can also include friends and family in the planning process by saving videos to custom trip playlists and sharing the link directly with their travel companions. When ready to book, WhereWeFly’s flight calendar feature lets the user select preferred dates, view available flights, and go straight to the airline’s booking portal
